Caution: Good Old Boat Magazine has received reports that Garmin GPS models 72 and some versions of the model 76 may stop functioning when set to the WAAS mode, which could be dangerous. Garmin has provided a patch/fix on their support website. If you own a Garmin GPS model 72 or 76, go to http://www8.garmin.com/support/blosp.jsp for a free download to correct this problem. To download the fix to your GPS, you will need a special PC interface cable. This cable is available in the Chandlery on our website from Garmin or secondary sources.
