Fixer-Upper Sailboats
The Neglected boat you save may become your own
If you're looking for an affordable good old boat that needs major fixing up, you've come to the right place. We're helping marinas and neighborhoods get rid of the abandoned sailboats in boatyards and back yards (who knows? maybe even in brickyards -- that's where the Allied boats were once created). We're looking for abandoned, deteriorated sailboats in need of a new dreamer to turn them into a dream boat once more. So if you know of one, get in touch! And if you're interested in one of those listed here, follow your heart and follow up. Call the number listed.
Have something to add? Contact us. There's no charge to list a fixer-upper. But you must be selling it for $5,000 or less. Please let us know whenyour boat goes to a good home and we'll remove the listing.
There's no fee for the buyer either. We just want to help you find the boat of your dreams.

This project boat is a William Tripp-designed 38’ Javelin. It was built in Holland in 1961 with a solid fiberglass hull and a cored fiberglass deck. It is a full keel sloop that was originally designed as a minimum CCA offshore racer for the Newport to Bermuda race. Currently, the hull is completely stripped. The lead ballast keel has been separated, inspected, and reattached. Original bronze hardware has been stored for reinstallation. The original mahogany interior has been retained to either reinstall or use as patterns for a new interior.
I am letting go of this project as my financial and health picture has changed from my earlier plans. I would really like to see someone finish this worthy project, and my price reflects my desire to see a commitment toward completion, rather than scrap and salvage. Pictures and much about the boat can be learned from my website http://www.javelin38.com.

It's a flush deck Columbia with 6' 3" headroom. I need a buyer or someone to donate it to. It's in reasonably good condition, but with no engine. The sail inventory is a North Mainsail, storm jib, roller furling genoa, (130%) and drifter. Deck gear includes anchor windlass w/bow roller and 45 lb. danforth, Wheel steering, main traveller winches for main and headsail and a stern ladder. Below is a u-shape galley w/stainless-steel gimballed stove w/oven, pressure water, a nav area to starboard, a saloon that seats six,...to port a sette /double bunk. Forward is an enclosed head w/shower and a v-berth. The main hatch and lazerettes needs repair or replacing. Also rewiring is a good idea. It did have a Palmer P-60 gas engine that seized. An Atomic 4 would fit perfect.
This is a good value for someone wanting a comfortable offshore cruiser. There's a relatively new 12' Zodiac w/15hp Merc that's an additional $2500.00.

This boat is in drastic need of restoration. The hull and deck are sound. The interior needs to be replaced, hatches need replacing, needs new sails. Has Sta-lok terminals on the rigging, mast steps, Pro-furl roller furling, Bimini (canvas needs replacing?), alcohol stove, etc. You will be getting a solid hull and deck to start that offshore cruising boat. Do not expect an easy fix. Lots of work and a little money will get you one of the most seaworthy boats ever made. Located in southeast Georgia. Price: Would like to trade for a houseboat project.

This rare yellow daysailer has a flush deck and a nice heavy glass-encased lead shoal draft keel (30 " max draft). Huge cockpit and modest below deck space in good condition. Few minor bumps and scrapes, on trailer ready to go. New lines up the mast, other rigging in good shape. Includes original sails, main and jib. I called it my pickup truck, ready to haul the whole family anywhere, easy and fun to sail and lounge on. It is a most serviceable family boat, requiring little to keep up. Delivery possible.
