Merchandise Policies
We're not going to confuse you with a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo in the form of policies and procedures; we're not lawyers and most of our subscribers aren't either. When you order items please pay for them by check, VISA, or Mastercard, including the $6.00 for shipping.
Don't worry about sales tax. If it should apply to your order, we will for the time being be responsible for paying it. Should the federal government or the states apply an Internet tax in the future, we will have to revisit this policy and reserve the right to do so.
If you need to return an item to us, please tell us the reason it is being returned and we will cheerfully refund your money, credit your charge card, or replace the item. Books are purchased through Amazon.com, so all returns should be referred to them. Please return items, well packaged, to:

Shipping
Here at Good Old Boat we like to keep things simple, for your sake and ours. We could have a lot of complicated shipping rates and instructions and forms for you to wade through like other vendors do, but using the K.I.S.S. philosophy, here is our shipping policy in a nutshell: There is no added shipping cost for mailing subscriptions or back issues.
Standard shipping for clothing or artwork is $6.00, whether you are ordering one item or a hundred.
VERY IMPORTANT - We can only ship to U.S. and Canadian addresses for our flat $6.00 delivery charge. If you need an item shipped outside of the U.S. or Canada, contact us and we can tell you the additional shipping charge required.
EQUALLY IMPORTANT - We cannot ship to a P.O. Box. You might have to make delivery to a trusted friend or relative who has a regular street address.
