Bill Hammond, who chairs the Good Old Boat Business Advisory Board, has just published an absolutely excellent first novel for those who are into maritime history of the Patrick O'Brian genre. We've read ahead in Bill's series (he's already completed the second and begun the third), and this series is simply dynamite. We admit to a bit of bias here, as Bill has been a friend to Good Old Boat and its founders since we started the magazine 10 years ago.
