In search of reader input (pro and con)

Dear friends and fellow sailors,

With our November issue (coming to a mailbox near you in late October), we have begun including sailors' input about our review sailboats. We think you'll like reading what other sailors and owners of specific boats have to say as much as what our reviewers have to say. That first try was so successful we're now looking for input on our review boats for the January issue. Those boats are:

  • O'Day 37
  • Capri 25

Do you own either of these boats? Have you had one in the past? Do you know someone who owns or has owned one?

If yes, we'd like to hear from you. Please send your comments to the guy who manages our boat reviews, Dan Spurr: danspurr@aol.com.

Tell Dan about the sailing characteristics (good and bad), the level of quality in the build, quirky things to watch out for, the good things that are true selling points for this boat, and anything else that springs to mind.

If this isn't a boat you've sailed on in the past, please stay tuned . . . but don't send a message to Dan! Poor Dan. When we asked for input about the Seafarer 24, dozens of happy boat owners wrote to tell him about the boats they sail or sailed (but they weren't Seafarers)! Trust us to keep asking just like we're doing now. We're bound to come upon one that is or has been in your collection over the years.

If you have had experience with the O'Day 37 or Capri 25, we're anxious to hear from you. Thanks for sharing your experience with "the rest of us"!
