We have put together a packet of information to help paddlers check out the world of sailing. Included you will find:
Sailing basics
A short primer on what you need to know to sail. It’s not that
hard and we use the English language in our explanations. We
also introduce you to a handful of sailing terms you'll find
useful.
Knots
There are lots of knots that would be handy to know but a working
knowledge of just a few will meet most of your needs. We will show
you how to tie them and include a length of rope with which to
practice.
A list of websites
These sites will give you more information as well as help you
find books, videos, and other usefull resources, if you wish
to learn more.
A magazine
Last, but not least in our opinion, is a free (really free) copy
of our magazine, Good Old Boat, “the sailing magazine
for the rest of us.”
