Lagoon 410
Description
The Lagoon 410 is a highly successful cruising catamaran designed by Van Peteghem/Lauriot-Prévost (VPLP), marking an early milestone in Lagoon's modern series with its innovative raised coachroof featuring panoramic vertical windows for excellent visibility and light. Built by Lagoon Catamarans (under Jeanneau/CNB/Beneteau group influence) in France from 1997 to 2006, it features fiberglass construction, twin fixed keels for shallow draft, a fractional sloop rig with a deck-stepped aluminum mast, twin diesel engines for reliable maneuvering, wide beam for stability, and spacious interiors typically in 3- or 4-cabin layouts (often 8-10 berths) with good headroom and charter-friendly amenities. Around 280-283 hulls were produced (sources vary slightly between 250-283), making it a popular used boat for coastal cruising, bluewater passages, and charters due to its balance of performance, comfort, and ease of handling in moderate conditions, with solid upwind ability for a cruising cat of its era; an updated S2 version appeared later with refinements.
