Lockley-Newport 19 (LN 19, Gloucester 19)
Description
The Lockley-Newport 19 (also known as LN-19, LN 19, or sometimes cross-referenced as Gloucester 19 / Quickstep 19 in similar molds) is a compact, trailerable fiberglass daysailer/pocket cruiser built by Lockley Newport Boats (USA, Newport Beach, CA, active 1970s–1980s). Designed by Stuart Windley (with some sources crediting Harry R. Sindle in related Lockley-Newport lineup), it dates to around 1983 and was part of the company's affordable entry-level fiberglass sailboat series. Featuring a swing keel (centerboard) for shallow draft/beaching/easy trailering, an open cockpit seating 3–4 people, and a small cuddy cabin for storage or basic overnights, it's praised for forgiving handling, good light-air performance from a generous sail plan, and versatility as a lake/coastal daysailer. Production numbers are modest (exact figures low; part of LN/Gloucester line), with surviving examples discussed in owner groups (e.g., Facebook's Lockley & Newport Boats Daysailers) for restorations, swing keel maintenance, or sail upgrades
