Lockley Sea Devil 12
Description
The Lockley Sea Devil 12 is a compact, lightweight fiberglass daysailer/dinghy built by Lockley Marine (later Lockley Newport Boats, USA) in the 1970s–1980s. It's essentially the same boat as the Snark Sea Skimmer (later rebranded/marketed under Snark Boats after acquisition or licensing), a popular car-toppable, unsinkable sailboat with foam-filled hull for positive flotation, sold through retailers like Sears & Roebuck in some cases. Known for its simplicity, portability (no trailer needed—roof rack or cartop), and fun in light-to-moderate winds, it's a beginner-friendly sloop with a conservative sail plan for easy handling, a daggerboard for shallow draft, and a narrow beam for speed on flat water.
