Lord Nelson 41

Lord Nelson 41

Description

The Lord Nelson 41 is a classic, heavy-displacement bluewater cutter designed by Loren Hart (with input from Tommy Chen) and built by Lord Nelson Yachts / Hai O Yachts (Taiwan) starting in 1982, with a limited production run of about 35 hulls—making it a rare semi-custom cruiser. Inspired by the Hans Christian 33 but with flatter aft sections to reduce hobby horsing and improve motion, it features solid fiberglass construction, a long encapsulated keel for exceptional stability and grounding forgiveness, a cutter rig for versatile sail handling (easy reefing/shortening in heavy weather), skeg protection on the rudder, and a spacious, traditional teak interior (typically 4–6 berths with V-forward, saloon settees converting to doubles, galley, enclosed head, and good headroom ~6'–6'3").
