Luger Seabreeze

Luger Seabreeze

Description

The Luger Seabreeze (also known as the Seabreeze 16 (Luger)) is a lightweight, trailerable fiberglass daysailer built by Luger Industries (Burnsville, Minnesota, USA) around 1980. It's part of Luger's affordable kit/ready-to-sail small-boat lineup (similar to the Leeward 16 but with a more refined design for family use), featuring a swing keel (centerboard) for shallow draft/beaching/easy trailering, an open cockpit seating 3–4 people comfortably, a small cuddy cabin area for storage or basic shelter, and built-in flotation for unsinkability/safety. Known for forgiving, predictable handling (great for beginners/families), exceptional stability from its semi-planing hull, and strong performance on open water or lakes—it's easy to sail single-handed and has a reputation as a fun, high-performance small sailer in moderate winds (owners report it handles gusts well with good control).
