Manta 38 (Endeavour Manta 38)
Description
The Manta 38 is a well-regarded cruising catamaran built by Manta Catamarans Inc. (Florida, USA) in the mid-1990s (e.g., 1995–1996 examples like "Santa Maria"). It's a vacuum-bagged fiberglass/foam-core design (high-tech for the era) with a low-profile bridge deck to minimize windage and slamming, twin daggerboards for adjustable draft (shallow for gunkholing/beaching, deeper for upwind efficiency), and a spacious layout (3 cabins/2 heads, sleeps 6–8, large saloon/galley, good storage). The boat is praised for its solid build (rigid forward bridge deck, no nets in some areas), seaworthiness, and comfortable fast cruising (10–15+ knots possible in good conditions)—a proven bluewater cat with many ocean crossings. Production was limited (dozens total).
