Mantra 38

Mantra 38

Description

The Mantra 38 is a Scandinavian‑influenced performance cruising yacht designed in the early 1990s, most commonly associated with Stellan Westerdahl and Swedish production. Built in limited numbers by Mantra Yachts, it features a modern fin‑keel and spade‑rudder underbody, a powerful fractional rig, and a light yet strong fiberglass/foam‑core construction. The boat was intended to bridge the gap between offshore capability and high‑performance cruising, offering a clean deck layout, efficient sail plan, and a surprisingly spacious interior for its length. Production was modest—generally estimated at a few dozen units—making it uncommon but respected among sailors who favor speed, seaworthiness, and Scandinavian build quality.
