Mariner 47 Ketch

Mariner 47 Ketch

Description

The Mariner 47 Ketch (also known as the Mariner 47 (Brewer)) is a heavy-displacement bluewater cruiser designed by Edward S. Brewer and built by Mariner Yacht Co. (USA) starting in the late 1970s, with only about 7–8 hulls produced before the company went out of business (later, around 6 more were completed and sold as the Islander 48C). It features robust fiberglass construction, a fin keel with rudder on skeg for balanced handling and protection, a traditional ketch rig for versatile short-handed sail handling in heavy weather, and a spacious, comfortable interior suited for extended offshore cruising or liveaboard use—prized for its exceptional heavy-duty build, stable predictable motion in rough conditions, and proven seaworthiness.
