Mariner 39 (Berry & White)
Description
The Mariner 39 (also known as the Mariner 39 (Berry & White)) is a center-cockpit coastal cruiser designed by Eric White and Arthur Berry for the Moorings charter fleet (many hulls initially used in bareboat operations). Built by Mariner Yacht Company (USA) in fiberglass from 1980 to 1982, with only 29 hulls produced, it features a fin keel with rudder on skeg for balanced handling and protection, a masthead sloop rig (some rigged as cutters or ketches), and a spacious, family-friendly interior (two separate cabins, two heads, large saloon/galley) optimized for charter comfort and durability—known for its stout build (thick fiberglass at turn of bilge), dry ride, and solid bluewater potential despite charter origins.
