Matrix 27

Matrix 27

Description

The Matrix 27 is a 27‑foot South African performance cruiser designed and built by Matrix Yachts during the early–mid 2000s, a builder better known for its large cruising catamarans but which briefly produced small monohulls for the local market. Built in relatively small numbers—likely fewer than 20 boats—the Matrix 27 uses a lightweight fiberglass/foam‑core structure, a modern fin keel, an efficient spade rudder, and a powerful fractional sloop rig aimed at club racing and fast coastal cruising. The boat is known for responsive handling, a clean deck layout, and a modest but functional interior suitable for weekending.
