Mayflower by Snark

Mayflower by Snark

Description

The Snark Mayflower (often called simply the Mayflower 14) is a lightweight, 14‑foot family daysailer produced by Snark Products, Inc. in the 1970s and early 1980s as one of their higher‑end models compared to the famous Styrofoam‑hulled Snark Sunflower. Unlike the all‑foam “unsinkable” Snark boats, the Mayflower used a fiberglass hull with a Styrofoam core, making it stiffer, more durable, and better suited to small‑lake cruising. Production numbers were modest, typically estimated at a few hundred boats, since it sat at the top of the Snark lineup. It carried a simple lateen rig, was extremely easy to launch and sail, and offered far more cockpit room than the smaller Snark models, making it popular with families and beginners.
