Metalmast 36

Metalmast 36

Description

The Metalmast 36 is a high-performance, lightweight racer-cruiser designed by Peter Canning and built by Metalmast Marine in 1978 (very limited production, estimated fewer than 20 hulls). It was a high-performance racer/cruiser blending IOR-era aggressive sail plans with structural integrity for offshore passage-making, featuring a fin keel with spade rudder and stout custom-extruded aluminum spars (Metalmast was a major spar supplier to builders like Pearson and Tartan).
