Montego 19

Montego 19

Description

The Montego 19 is a compact, trailerable pocket cruiser designed by Dutch-American naval architect Johannes "Jopie" Helsen and built in fiberglass by Universal Marine Corp. (USA) from 1976 to 1985. It features a swing keel for shallow draft versatility (1.20 ft up for beaching/trailering, 4.50 ft down for sailing stability), a fractional sloop rig for responsive handling, and a basic interior suitable for short overnights or daysailing—known for its light weight, affordability, and forgiving nature as an entry-level boat.
