Montgomery 10

Montgomery 10

Description

The Montgomery 10 (also known as the Montgomery M10 or simply Monty 10) is a classic American fiberglass daysailer/dinghy designed and built by Jerry Montgomery of Montgomery Marine Products (Dana Point, California, USA) starting in 1969. It was created as a small, portable, one-design racer and family daysailer, winning honors at Yacht Racing magazine's America's Teacup Trials in 1970 (where the Laser and Hobie 14 were introduced) and remains popular in West Coast fleets for its light weight, responsive handling, unsinkable foam flotation, and excellent rowing/sailing balance. Production ran from the late 1960s into the 1980s, with hundreds built, and it's still sought after today for its simplicity and fun factor—often used for club racing, lake daysailing, or as a tender.
