Moody 38
Description
The Moody 38 is a mid-sized, center-cockpit family cruiser designed by Bill Dixon and built by A.H. Moody & Sons Ltd. (in association with Marine Projects Ltd., UK) from 1991 to 1996, with 163 hulls produced in fiberglass. It features a fin keel with spade rudder for responsive and balanced handling, a masthead sloop rig optimized for good all-around performance and light-air capability, and a spacious, practical interior (sleeps 6 in V-berth + saloon settees + aft cabin, galley, enclosed head with separate shower) with excellent headroom and storage—widely praised for its comfort, seaworthiness, solid Moody build quality (thick hull laminates, teak joinery), and forgiving nature in coastal or light offshore conditions.
