Morris Linda 28

Morris Linda 28

Description

The Morris 28 (more precisely known as the Morris Linda 28 or simply Morris 28 Linda) is a classic small cruising sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Chuck Paine and built by Morris Yachts in Bass Harbor, Maine, from 1985 to 1991. Only about 16 hulls were ever produced, making it one of the rarer models from Morris—prized for its exceptional build quality, timeless aesthetics, seaworthy performance in a compact size, and high-end craftsmanship typical of Morris (now part of Hinckley). It's essentially a slightly smaller, more minimalist sibling to the Morris Leigh 30, sharing the same traditional long-keel philosophy, elegant lines, and offshore-capable design ethos. Paine designed it as one of the smallest yachts possible with reasonable headroom (about 6 feet) while maintaining excellent handling and comfort.
