Description
The Nordica 30 (also listed as Nordica 29/30 in some databases) is a classic Canadian double-ended fiberglass cruiser built by Exe Fibrecraft Ltd. in Exeter, Ontario, Canada, with design by Danish naval architect B. Malta-Muller (or B. Malta-Müller). Production began in 1980, with a limited run (exact quantity not widely documented but appears modest—likely dozens to low hundreds based on rarity in current markets and owner communities; related Nordica line models like the 16/20 were more common). It features solid fiberglass (GRP) construction with a full keel (long keel with cutaway forefoot for directional stability and protection), stern-hung tiller rudder, masthead sloop rig for balanced handling, and a traditional, sea-kindly layout suitable for coastal or short offshore cruising—emphasizing comfort, motion in rough conditions, and light-air performance from its generous sail plan.
