OK Dinghy

OK Dinghy

Description

The OK Dinghy is an internationally recognized single-handed sailing dinghy designed by renowned Danish yacht designer Knud Olsen in 1956 at the request of Axel Damgaard Olsen of Vordingborg, who sought a light and fast dinghy based on conventional plywood construction. The design became an ISAF International Class in 1974, with the name "OK" cleverly using Knud Olsen's initials in reverse. First built in 1957, approximately 11,000 units have been constructed, making it one of the most successful small boat designs of the past 70 years.
