Oxford 400

Oxford 400

Description

The Oxford 400 stands as a testament to Robert G. Henry Jr.'s expertise in creating substantial, seaworthy cruising sailboats. First built in 1946 by Oxford Boatyard Co., this 28.83-foot fractional sloop embodies the post-war American approach to coastal cruising with its heavy displacement and traditional wood construction. Henry, who served as general manager of Oxford Boatyard during WWII when they built vessels for the military, applied his extensive experience from Sparkman & Stephens to create this robust cruising design.
