Oy Fiskars AB
Oy Fiskars AB was the marine division of the iconic Finnish industrial conglomerate Fiskars Corporation, world-famous for its orange-handled scissors. From the 1960s to the early 1980s, Fiskars applied its expertise in fiberglass-reinforced plastics (GRP)—originally developed for consumer goods—to build high-quality sailboats under the Finnsailer and Finnclipper brands. The boatyard was based in Turku, Finland, and became renowned for robust, seaworthy motor Sailers suited to the demanding Baltic Sea.
