C&C 30 MK I
Description
The C&C 30 Mk I (also known as the C&C 30-1 or simply C&C 30 Mark I) is a classic Canadian racer/cruiser from C&C Yachts, designed by Cuthbertson & Cassian (the founding C&C design team). Introduced in 1973 and produced until 1985, it had the longest production run of any single C&C model (over 800 hulls built), making it one of Canada's most successful and enduring designs from the IOR era. It was patterned after the successful C&C 35 but scaled down for affordability and ease of handling, blending competitive racing performance with comfortable coastal/offshore cruising. Known for its stiffness (one of the stiffest C&Cs ever), forgiving nature, user-friendly deck layout, and solid build quality, it's often praised as an "all-rounder" that's fun to sail, easy to single hand or crew shorthanded, and capable for club racing (excellent PHRF boat) or weekend/overnight cruising. The Mk I model covered hull numbers 1-506.
