Snark Sunflower

Snark Sunflower

Description

The Snark Sunflower is an iconic 11‑foot "unsinkable" sailboat produced by Snark Products (USA) from 1962 to the 1980s, with over 200,000 units sold, making it one of the best‑selling sailboats ever. Constructed with Styrofoam flotation encased in fiberglass, it features a lateen rig, kick‑up centerboard/rudder, self‑bailing cockpit, and extreme portability (38 lb hull). Designed by Bill Cappel for beginners/kids on small waters, its stability and buoyancy made it a staple for camps, resorts, and first‑time sailors.
