Description
The Swan 39 designed by Ron Holland is a 39‑foot (11.9 m) IOR offshore racer/cruiser built by Nautor Swan (Finland) from 1978 to 1981, with 21 hulls produced as part of Swan's 1970s performance fleet. Holland's design brought modern speed to the Swan tradition with a sleek fin keel hull, spade rudder, fractional sloop rig, and exceptional Finnish craftsmanship featuring teak decks and mahogany interior; key features include competitive IOR ratings, responsive handling, 6–7 berths, galley, head, and proven offshore capability in events like the 1980 Southern Cross Cup, all in a lightweight 13,227 lb package measuring LOA 39 ft, LWL 32 ft, beam 12.5 ft, and draft 7 ft.
