Description
The Swan 40 designed by Germán Frers is a 40‑foot (12.2 m) IMS/IRC racer/cruiser built by Nautor Swan (Finland) from 1992 to 2001, with 44 hulls produced. Frers' modern evolution of the Swan 40 concept features a wide stern, twin rudders, carbon spar option, and luxurious interior blending racing speed with cruising comfort. Fin keel, fractional sloop rig, teak cockpit sole, and premium Finnish craftsmanship deliver competitive performance (Fastnet, regatta wins) with 6–8 berths and full cruising amenities.
