Swan 51 (Frers)
Description
The Swan 51 (also known as the Swan 51 Frers) is a classic offshore cruiser-racer designed by Germán Frers as his first collaboration with Nautor Swan. It was built by Oy Nautor AB in Finland from 1980 to 1985, with only 36 hulls completed. Based on the successful Admiral’s Cup racer Blizzard, this model launched one of the most enduring designer-builder partnerships in yachting history and bridged high-performance racing with comfortable bluewater cruising. It features high-quality fiberglass construction (solid hull with cored deck), elegant teak decks and interior joinery, a practical masthead sloop rig, and a balanced hull form with excellent stability and seakindly motion.
