Swan 55 (S&S)

Swan 55 (S&S)

Description

The Swan 55 S&S 1970 (Sparkman & Stephens design #2012.1) is the original legendary cruiser-racer that helped establish Nautor Swan’s reputation for high-quality performance yachts. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Oy Nautor AB in Finland from 1970 to 1974, only 16 hulls were produced (including both sloop and yawl configurations). It features classic S&S lines with a moderate sheer, fin keel with skeg-mounted rudder, and robust fiberglass construction with teak decks and interior joinery typical of early Swans. Available as a masthead sloop or yawl, the boat was conceived for offshore racing and comfortable long-distance cruising, offering a balanced, seakindly motion and strong bluewater pedigree.
