TEACH
Description
Teach is a 25‑foot (7.62 m) gaff ketch pocket cruiser designed by William and John Atkin in 1938, published in The Rudder magazine as plans for amateur builders (dozens constructed over decades). Inspired by traditional workboats, it features lapstrake plywood/wood construction, full keel, gaff ketch rig for easy handling, cozy cuddy cabin (sleeps 2–3), galley, and exceptional seaworthiness for coastal cruising; measuring LOA 25 ft, LWL 20 ft 6 in, beam 8 ft 6 in, draft 3 ft 6 in, and displacement ~6,000 lb, Teach exemplifies the Atkins' philosophy of simple, sturdy small cruisers
