Theta 26

Theta 26

Description

The Theta 26 is a 26-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Michael Henderson and built primarily by EI Marine (with some later examples by Ron O'Reilly) in South Africa around 1972–1991. It was a relatively low-production model popular for coastal cruising, weekend sailing, and club racing in South African waters (especially around Cape Town and False Bay), with a handful of examples still actively sailed or offered for sale today. The boat features a practical GRP construction, modest displacement for easy handling, and a layout suited to 4–5 people for short trips or coastal hops, often equipped with a small inboard diesel (e.g., Vetus or BMW 15–16 hp).
