Description
The Tiffany Jane 34 (also spelled Tiffany Jayne 34) is a 34-foot light-displacement racer/cruiser/daysailer designed by Paul R. Kotzebue and built by C&B Marine in Santa Cruz, California, starting in 1980. Production was very limited—reportedly only about 8 hulls total—with Hull #1 launched in 1980 as a high-quality custom or semi-custom build (some in wood, others fiberglass). The boat is a sleek, double-ended design with a narrow beam, long waterline, and fin keel with spade rudder, pre-dating but visually and philosophically similar to the later Alerion Express series. It was conceived as a fast, versatile performer for coastal racing, daysailing, and light cruising, with owners praising its frisky handling, excellent speed (reportedly clocked at 18 knots), and confidence-inspiring stability even in 25–30 knot winds. It features a fractional sloop rig with a generous sail plan optimized for performance, especially in moderate to lighter conditions.
