Tiki 21 Catamaran

Tiki 21 Catamaran

Description

The Tiki 21 Cat (also known as the Wharram Tiki 21) is a 21-foot trailerable coastal cruising catamaran designed in 1981 by James Wharram (with Hanneke Boon) as an easy-to-build "Coastal Trek" catamaran using epoxy/glass stitch-and-glue plywood construction techniques that were innovative at the time. It won first prize in Cruising World magazine’s 1982 design competition for a “Trailable Gunkholer.” Plans have been extremely popular, with over 925 sets sold by 2010 and hundreds of boats built worldwide by amateur and professional builders (exact total built is unknown but substantial, with many still sailing today).
