Tiki 30

Tiki 30

Description

The Tiki 30 (also known as the Wharram Tiki 30) is a 30-foot coastal and ocean-capable cruising catamaran designed by James Wharram (with Hanneke Boon) as a larger, more spacious evolution in the popular Tiki series. It is a self-build plans design using plywood/glass/epoxy stitch-and-glue construction with lashed crossbeams, deep V-hulls, and optional deck pod for added living space. Plans have been widely sold since the 1980s/1990s, with hundreds of boats built worldwide by amateur and professional builders (exact numbers are not published but significant, with many examples used for extended coastal cruising and some ocean voyages). The design emphasizes simplicity, shallow draft for beaching/gunkholing, low cost, and a stable platform suitable for liveaboard or charter use, sleeping up to 6 (two doubles in the hulls plus deck area).
