TMI T30
Description
The TMI 30 (also known as the TMI T30, T-30, or Texas Marine International 30) is a 29.92-foot (LOA 29.92 ft / 9.12 m) fiberglass cruising/racer sloop designed by Halsey Herreshoff. It originated as the Chrysler 30 (CY-30) in the late 1970s. Texas Marine International (TMI) acquired the molds around 1980–1981 and built approximately 48 boats between 1979 and 1981 before the molds passed to Ticon Yachts in Canada, where it became the Ticon 30. The boat features a roomy interior for its era (wide 11 ft beam), solid construction, and a fractional sloop rig optimized for coastal cruising with decent performance. A shoal-draft version exists with reduced draft and slightly higher displacement.
