TRADEWIND 35 KETCH
Description
The Tradewind 35 Ketch is a rare ketch-rigged variant of the well-known Tradewind 35 heavy-displacement bluewater cruiser designed by John Rock (UK). It is essentially the same long-keeled hull as the standard cutter-rigged Tradewind 35 (a development of Rock’s earlier Tradewind 33), with the addition of a mizzen mast for better balance, easier sail handling in heavy weather, and versatility on long passages. The hulls were built in solid fiberglass by Blondecell Marine (UK) or later Tradewind Yachts (Netherlands), with some boats completed as kits or by small yards. Total production of all Tradewind 35s was modest (around 70–120 hulls), and the ketch version was even rarer, with only a handful built or converted.
