Horstman Tri Star 18

Horstman Tri Star 18

Description

The Tri-Star 18 (also styled as TriStar 18 or Horstman Tri-Star 18) is a classic small trimaran designed by Ed Horstman, a pioneering multihull designer known for his Tri-Star series of trailerable trimarans. Introduced in the early 1970s, it was intended as an affordable, easy-to-build, and forgiving pocket cruiser/daysailer for lakes, coastal waters, or even occasional ocean use. Many were home-built from plans using plywood (often cold-molded or double-diagonal methods) or other amateur-friendly techniques, making it popular with first-time multihull builders.
