Horstman Tri Star 25 MK III
Description
The Tri-Star 25 MK III (also referred to as TriStar 25 or Horstman Tri-Star 25) is a trailerable trimaran designed by Ed Horstman. It belongs to his long-running Tri-Star series of plans-built multihulls, which emphasize roomy accommodations, stability, and ease of amateur construction. The MK III is a variant or updated iteration of the Tri-Star 25 design (sometimes grouped with the related Tri-Star 23/25 swing-wing model), focused on a balance of daysailing, weekend cruising, and light coastal use. Like most Horstman designs, it was primarily built by home builders using plywood (often cold-molded or double-diagonal with epoxy/fiberglass sheathing) rather than by a factory.
