Trident Warrior 40

Trident Warrior 40

Description

The Trident Warrior 40 (also known as the Warrior 40) is a 39.37–40-foot (LOA 12.00–12.05 m) heavy-displacement bluewater cutter designed by Angus Primrose and Bill Dixon. It was built in solid fiberglass by Trident Marine Ltd. in the UK from the late 1980s into the 1990s (some sources note production continuing into the early 2000s). Production numbers were limited, with perhaps a few dozen to around 100 hulls completed, making it a relatively rare but highly regarded passagemaker. The boat features a robust, seakindly hull with a fin keel and skeg-mounted rudder, generous beam for stability and interior volume, and a cutter rig optimized for shorthanded or couple cruising with easy sail reduction in heavy weather.
