Trimar 24

Trimar 24

Description

The TRIMAR 24 is a 24-foot trimaran designed by Ian Farrier and built by Corsair Marine in the USA from 1992-1994. This high-performance multihull represents Farrier's expertise in folding trimaran design, featuring his signature folding ama system that allows the boat to be trailered and stored like a monohull. The boat features fiberglass construction with foam sandwich cores, a fractional sloop rig with rotating spar, and variable draft from 1.00 to 4.67 feet via daggerboard. With a beam of nearly 18 feet when unfolded and displacement of only 1,800 pounds, the TRIMAR 24 delivers exceptional performance ratios including a sail area to displacement ratio of 36.85, making it capable of impressive speeds in light to moderate conditions. Production quantities were limited during its brief two-year production run, as this model served as a steppingstone to Farrier's later successful F-boat series that would establish Corsair Marine as a leading trimaran manufacturer.
