Vennekens Koral 40
Description
The Vennekens Koral 40 is a solid, oceangoing fiberglass cruising yacht built by the Belgian yard Jachtwerf Vennekens (also known as Shipyard Vennekens Boom) in Boom, Belgium. The yard, founded in 1952, is known for strong, well-finished custom and semi-custom boats in steel, aluminum, composite, and GRP. The Koral 40 was produced in small numbers as a semi-custom model in the late 1980s (examples from 1989 are documented), with a focus on robust construction for serious coastal or offshore cruising rather than mass production. It features a hand-laid GRP hull, often with watertight bulkheads (some with doors), practical teak interior woodwork, and a reputation for good finishing and seaworthiness.
