Victoria 34 Sloop
Description
The Victoria 34 Sloop is a traditional-styled, high-quality cruising yacht designed by American naval architect Chuck Paine (C.W. Paine Yacht Design). It was built by Victoria Marine Ltd. in Warsash, Southampton, UK (with hulls laid up by Northshore Yachts), from 1985 until around 2000 (molds later sold). Production numbers were modest (likely a few dozen hulls), as the boat was positioned as a semi-custom or higher-end model rather than a mass-produced one. The design features a moderately long, shallow fin keel with a strong skeg-hung rudder, solid GRP hull, and balsa-cored deck, built to high standards (often Lloyd’s Register spec). It has a conservative, timeless appearance that looks like a smaller version of Paine’s larger Bowman designs, emphasizing seaworthiness, comfortable motion, and ease of handling for coastal or short offshore cruising.
