Voyager 26
Description
The Voyager 26 is a compact, double-ended full-keel cutter designed by Daniel J. Avoures in the late 1970s. It was built in small numbers by Voyager Marine Inc. (USA) in the early 1980s as a practical pocket cruiser emphasizing seaworthiness, shallow draft, and livability for a couple or small crew. The hull features a long keel with a moderately cutaway forefoot and transom-hung rudder, offering good tracking and the ability to take the ground upright. Construction is solid fiberglass, and many examples were fitted with a small inboard diesel. It is not a high-performance racer but a conservative, comfortable coastal cruiser that has proven capable for extended gunkholing or light passage making.
