Wasa 370
Description
The Wasa 370 (sometimes listed as Wasa 37 or Wasa 370) is a Scandinavian cruiser/racer designed by Swedish naval architect Leif Ängermark and built by Wasa Yachts (Wasa Marin AB) in Sweden starting in 1986. It is a further development of the popular Wasa 360 (of which ~130 were built), retaining the same core concept while refining the layout and superstructure for better balance between relaxed touring and sporty sailing. The yard was known for high-quality GRP construction (often with Kevlar reinforcement in the hull), timeless lines, and solid performance. Production was limited, with examples built into the mid-1990s or later in small batches. The boat features a round-bilge hull with a fin keel and balanced spade rudder for good sailing characteristics, a fractional sloop rig for easy handling, and a practical interior with 3 cabins (large owner’s cabin aft in many layouts), a U-shaped saloon settee, and a functional galley. It is Kevlar-reinforced in key areas for strength, with balsa-cored deck and superstructure in some builds.
