Watkins 25

Watkins 25

Description

The Watkins 25 is a recreational American fiberglass keelboat designed as a compact masthead sloop, with its hull derived from the Columbia 24 (or Columbia T-23 lineage) and featuring major modifications including a new deck and coachroof for improved interior volume and aesthetics. It was built by Watkins Yachts of Clearwater, Florida, introduced in 1983 (with some references noting 1985 as a key production year) as one of the company's later smaller models amid declining operations. Production continued until around 1989, during which approximately 183 boats were completed before the company ceased sailboat manufacturing; the hull tooling was subsequently sold to Com-Pac Yachts (Hutchins Company), which adapted it into the Com-Pac 25 by modifying the deck and interior details.
