Laguna Windrose 20
Description
The Windrose 20 (also known as the Laguna Windrose 20) is a small, trailerable recreational keelboat designed primarily by W. Shad Turner (some sources also credit or list Ron Holder). It was built by Laguna Yachts of Anaheim, California, starting in 1977 using solid fiberglass construction with a swing keel (cast iron ballast). The model is now long out of production, with production likely running into the early 1980s as part of Laguna’s affordable Windrose series of compact trailer-sailers; exact quantity built is not well-documented in public records but was moderate within the line. It features a fractional sloop rig, basic cruising accommodations (V-berth and quarter berths for 2–4 people), and a balance of daysailing performance with easy trailering and launching, making it popular for coastal use, club racing, or entry-level family sailing.
