Chesapeake Marine Design Windward 24 Sail Plan I and II

Chesapeake Marine Design Windward 24 Sail Plan I and II

Description

The Windward 24 Sail Plan I and II refers to one of the three optional rig configurations provided in the plans for the Windward 24, a plywood daysailer/camp cruiser designed by Karl A. Stambaugh of Chesapeake Marine Design (CMD). This is a trailerable, shallow-draft pocket cruiser (centerboard) with plywood construction, generous beam for stability, and accommodations for 2+ (berths, galley space). Plans include multiple sail plans to suit builder preferences: Sail Plan I and II are typically a yawl rig (main + mizzen, no headsail or minimal jib in basic setup), offering balanced, easy singlehanded sailing with a traditional aesthetic. (Sail Plan III -- not included here -- is a separate gaff-rigged variant.)
